About Brooke & Shoals Fragrances

At Brooke & Shoals Fragrances we are constantly creating. We blend combinations of floral, fruity, earthy and woody notes to design wonderful scents that can enrapture, energise and engage.

We are based in the beautiful coastal town of Greystones in County Wicklow, with hills and forests on one side and the expanse of the ocean on the other, providing endless inspiration. We are proud to make all our lovely products in Ireland and are committed to using only high quality sustainable ingredients.

Great care and attention to detail is put into creating our collections to ensure our customers love them;

Our scented candles are made using only natural wax which is kinder to the environment than paraffin wax. To create their long lasting aroma we blend fine fragrance and essential oils. We use high quality cotton wicks that are lead-free.

Our diffusers use a glycerine base from a renewable source and are alcohol free. They last up to 6 months.

Our body products contain natural ingredients and are scented using pure essential oils to create a spa-like feeling for your skin.

Our eau de toilette collection is a fantasy of fragrance covering three key fragrance families, sparkling citrus, fabulous floral and seductive oriental.

How it all began

All of the Brooke & Shoals fragrances are lovingly developed by founder Alison Banton, whose passion for scent was inspired by the divine aromas of the petals she picked as a child in her great-aunt Mollie’s circular rose garden.

Mollie used to say that “the babbling brook and the whispering shoals” would help her turn Alison’s rose petals into perfume. But overnight the kind old lady would add real perfume to the little girl’s watery mixture, to make her think she had created the wonderful aroma.

‘My great-aunt and the mysterious “brook and shoals” awakened my interest in perfume, so I added an “e” and turned it into a name that has wonderful fragrance memories for me!’

‘I am passionate about blending oils and creating wonderful products. I am very proud that we have won so many awards over the last few years. I also love that we create all of our range here in Ireland because it means our customers can rely on the quality, and we are creating Irish jobs.’
